What is the solution?

VARO’s pick-and-place packaging system is a fully automated packaging solution developed with a particular focus on the needs of the food industry. The system performs complex sorting and packing tasks and uses a high-speed scanning system to identify, mix, and pack multiple product types from the same production line. It handles both trays and cartons, including glue-free and tape-free packaging.

What tasks can it handle?

The solution is ideal for production environments where mixed products or retail-ready cases need to be packed and where requirements for hygiene, traceability, and safe handling are high. The system can sort and pack up to 400 units per minute, depending on the product and packing pattern. It supports a wide range of packaging configurations and can switch quickly between them.

How is the system designed?

The system is modular in design, allowing the number of pick-and-place robots, conveyors, and lanes to be configured according to your requirements. The solution can be expanded with labeling, metal detection, vision systems for quality control, and palletizing. VARO delivers the entire packaging line as a turnkey solution—from case erecting and filling to closing, labeling, and palletizing. This gives the customer one integrated solution without the need to coordinate multiple suppliers.
