The solution can automate several upstream handling steps, including:

  • Automatic pallet handling
  • Use of camera and sensors to locate pallet, cases and strap
  • Removal and disposal of straps from shipping cases
  • Scan barcodes to ensure full traceability
  • Automatic opening of transport cases
  • Removal of sealed RTU tubs from the cases
  • Handling and stretch of outer foil of the sealed tubs for automatic cutting

This creates a more consistent material flow and eliminates manual handling of the tubs.

Automated handling of protective RTU bags

Removing the tub from the transport case is only part of the process.

The flexible protective packaging around the RTU tub must also be handled and correctly prepared before the tub can continue to the next process.

VARO can automate this difficult handling step and stretch the outer foil of the sealed RTU tub in preparation for the downstream equipment.

The tub remains sealed and gently handled throughout the VARO handling process.
